Job Description

Adams & Martin Group is seeking a Paralegal to join a boutique law firm in Minneapolis. This is a direct hire opportunity with a hybrid work model (4 days in office/1 day remote).

The Paralegal's responsibilities include:

  • Obtain, review, and synthesize medical records; prepare chronologies and timelines that separate relevant vs. unrelated care (including complex overlaps like concurrent admissions or pre-existing conditions).
  • Match and reconcile medical bills to encounters and case events; identify gaps, duplicates, and inconsistencies; maintain bill summaries (Excel strongly preferred).
  • Prepare concise summaries for attorneys and experts.
  • Draft, file, and serve pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, and motions (state & federal e-filing).
  • Track deadlines, court schedules, and production obligations; maintain organized electronic and physical files.
  • Coordinate depositions, IMEs, hearings, and meetings; liaise with clients, providers, and court staff.
  • Support trial prep: exhibits, witness files, and trial binders.
  • Maintain attorney calendars and case trackers.
  • Assist with time entry/billing accuracy as needed.
  • Participate in weekly case meetings and collaborate with a supportive team.

Qualifications:

  • Paralegal with 3+ years preferred (medical malpractice, personal injury, or workers' compensation strongly preferred).
  • Extensive experience reviewing medical records with a good understanding of coding/billing practices.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and stamina for detailed, exacting work.
  • Advanced Excel for reconciliation and summaries.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and case management/e-filing systems.
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication.
